In addition to their energy industry experience, ProSource Energy employees have attended numerous classes and seminars in continuing education into all aspects of the energy industry, from oil and gas production, electricity generation and distribution, natural gas and electricity rate design, and least cost energy supply analysis and procurement.
From 1984-1988, our Founder was a
Supervising Senior Oil and Gas Auditor with the State of Texas General Land Office (Texas GLO). There, he
supervised detailed review of all aspects of large and medium sized oil and gas company production and revenue accounting records and processes to ensure proper payment to State of Texas in accordance with oil and gas leases. That work involved review of production records, accounting records, commodity sales contracts, processing or refining agreements, FERC or state PUC Orders or precedent(s), and previously existing royalty litigation settlements. The primary objective of these forensic audits was to identify and collect any unpaid royalties for deposit to the State's Permanent School and University Funds.
1980s - The founder assisted Conoco in the late 1980’s with operational analysis and implementation of major natural gas take or pay litigation settlements with Conoco’s major interstate gas pipeline transporters such as Tennessee, Transco, Texas Eastern, ANR, Transwestern, and El Paso Pipelines. The settlements implemented newly unbundled, market based pricing, and provided the transactional groundwork for open-access gas supply and transportation nationally, ultimately approved by the FERC in Orders 436 (1985) and Order 636 (1992). He also provided analysis and support for Gas Producer and Shipper trial groups in Order 636 compliance filings and major interstate pipeline transportation rate cases. Finally, he arranged purchase of retail natural gas supply for DuPont industrial plants in the northeast and midwest states in the US.

He provided regulatory affairs involvement and tariff analysis and business development advisory services for PG&E Energy Services’ retail natural gas and electricity business in 15 states and over 75 cities in the Northeast, Midwest, mid-Atlantic US, and California. Using regional gas and electricity production and customer demand inputs, he modeled and developed competitive deregulated pricing for commercial and industrial customers all deregulated. Energy cost economics resulting in deregulated commercial energy pricing for customers and clients that was often 25-35% less than previous utility retail tariff rates.
2000's - In the early 2000s, our founder was employed as the Business Development Manager – Pricing and Economics, for Shell Energy Services, in Houston, Texas. In that capacity, he assisted in the electricity rate design and product pricing for Shell’s entrance into the newly deregulated residential and small commercial markets in Texas. He brought the expertise of having participated in other state’s deregulation and market development processes - to the Texas PUC's implementation process of Senate Bill 7 in Texas. He built numerous pricing and cost savings analysis models and calculators – for Shell Energy Services' residential and small commercial electricity and natural gas customers - using various marketing plans and internal Net Present Value scenario and targets.
Mid 2000's - The founder provided specialty regulatory analysis and advice for Chevron Pipeline Company’s intrastate and interstate natural gas and crude oil pipeline businesses before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and various state agencies. In addition, he provided crude oil transportation pricing and business development support for existing Chevron production, and for new discoveries in the outer continental shelf, offshore Gulf of Mexico.
